Following are some of the funding opportunities for graduate students in the Global Change GIDP:
The GC-GDIP, with assistance from The Institute of the Environment (IE), offers small awards (up to $1,000) to students in the GC Minor program to aid in the improvement of their dissertation. The call for applications is typically issued twice a year, in Fall and late Spring.
The GC-GIDP Minor program offers a teaching assistantship (typically quarter time) for the NATS 101 Introduction to Global Change course. The assistantship is awarded on a semester basis only and is dependent on the availability of funds.
The Institute of the Environment provides up to $500 in funding for graduate students to travel to meetings, conferences, or symposia where they will present their research. Deadlines are typically in September and February.

The Herbert E. Carter Travel Award is available for students majoring in a Graduate Interdisciplinary Program (GIDP) for travel to a professional meeting.
The Graduate College, in conjunction with the Graduate and Professional Student Council provides travel funds to graduate students to present invited papers or posters at professional meetings, conferences and symposia that are directly related to their educational development.
