ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

 1. Dr H talked about Test #1, briefly, than gave a short overview of the Linking-To-Life Project.   Part A - Your Ecologial Footprint was assigned and is due next week (Oct 2nd).   She also talked about the "Learning Philosophy" of  the course and students gave their input on some survey questions with clickers.

2.  Then Dr. H gave a presentation on Topic #6  Part II Atmospheric Structure & Chemical Composition -- it also included "Group Self Test" work on p 29 in Class Notes and a hands-on activity related to today:  The September EQUINOX!

3.    At the end of class, Dr H recapped the main points covered and students were asked to pick one of  the points, reflect on what they learned today about it, and explain this in a short paragraph

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY:  

• Review the presentation on Topic #6 and other topics  above, do the Self Test on p 29 of Class Notes yourself, read through pp 31 and 31 in Class Notes to get caught up, and come prepared for the "Name That Gas" competition on Monday in class by studying the tables on pp 33 and 34 in Class Notes.
