Greeness of Australia

Read the material provided in the videos' home page, then watch
the videos, both at the normal speed and frame by frame.

a) To which biomes do the different regions of the Australian
continent belong?  Refer to the lecture handout, "Major Biomes." 
How do the different biomes appear in the videos? 

b) Briefly describe the seasonal changes in vegetation.  Do the
different biomes change in exactly the same manner? i.e., do they
have the same range of "greeness" or change at the same times of
year?

c) Do you think Australia may experience "desertification?" Why
or why not?  (Think in terms of climate types, vegetation types,
population growth and agricultural practices.  Feel free to
speculate.)
