An evaluation of published literature on long-term (seasonal to millennial-scale) relations between fire and climatic variations. There will be emphasis on using historical data (20th century observations), and paleoecological, and paleoclimatic reconstructions. We will explore methods of testing temporal and spatial fire-climate patterns using compositing techniques and time series analyses.
