Visit Li Cheng during his office hours for 30-45 minutes to learn about his dissertation research related to global change. Then write a one-page typewritten summary of that chat. Ideally, perhaps 2 or 3 people might speak with him at a time so he will have more time to work on his dissertation.

This is the 50th anniversary of the official Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, that specifically runs from Feb 12-15 at the Tucson Convention Center, and gold is the featured mineral.

For EC, visit a Dealer or Display that is showing something you find interesting and somehow related to global change. Write up a 1- page, double-spaced, typed summary of what you saw, why it impressed you, and how it is related to the Earth system or global change. If it is a dealer, provide the name of the dealer and his/her location; if it was a display provide info on its location, who sponsored it and who was there representing it.
