ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. Dr. H gave a presentation on Topic # 9   Systems & Feedbacks - Part II

2. We watched the first 20 minutes of our new "sustainability segment" film:   "Too Hot Not to Handle"


"Too Hot Not To Handle"     (a 2006 HBO Documentary)

The video is posted in D2L (under videos shown in class) We watched from the beginning to just before the segment titled "Melting Alaska" (minute 20:20 )

3. AInstead of a clicker activity, on purple index cards, students took notes on the processes, causes, and impacts of global warming are as they were discussed in the film and also noted which features on p 119 were described in the films.

4. Lastly the groups wrapped up work on Assignment G-3 Applying the Energy Balance Terms . When G-3 was finished, groups worked on p 50 in Class Notes until the end of class.

Be sure you have participated in and completed Assignment G-3
Watch the first 20 minutes of "Too Hot NOT to Handle" (posted in D2L under Videos > Class Videos > Current Video Being Shown in Class) and take notes on what the film covers (see slides 21+22 of the posted presentation so you know what to take notes on.
