ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

1. Students were reminded that  TEST # 2 is coming up next week on Wed Oct 7th.  The Midterm Exam will be Wednesday Oct 14th

Students were also reminded that the  Linking-To-Life Part A assignment is due this FRIDAY Oct 2nd before midnight -- see Assignments!

2.  Then Dr H gave a presentation that wrapped up Topic  #6 on Atmospheric Composition and went on to Topic #7 - Thermodynamics - Part I

FYI -- Here is a link to some OPTIONAL  "experiments" to try that illustrate aspects of Thermodynamics.  Check them out yourself if you can get it to work on your computer --It's not required!

3.  The class  included  a video that succinctly smmarized HEAT TRANSFER:  "There ae 3 Ways that Heat Can Travel"  (Radiation, Conduction & Convection)  --Watch it again!!! It's a good review for Test #2

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

IMPORTANT:  If you plan to attend the Study Session next Monday,
you need to prepare in advance by going through the "TOP TEN" Study Guide
and come to the session with QUESTIONS about things you don't understand!!

Also, be sure to bring a copy of the Test #2 "Top Ten" Study Guide with you!
