ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

In class today we did the following:

 1.  Then Dr. H gave a presentation that wrapped upTopic #6  Atmospheric Structure & Chemical Composition

2.  Students sat in their groups and worked together on Whiteboards on several questions related to the topic -- see the posted presentation.

3.  Dr H lectured a bit more about the Composition of the Atmosphere, then students in their groups studied the TABLE on page 34 of Class Notes to prepare for another the TEAM COMPETITION.  (NOTE:  Teams are identified by folder color:  The Infrared Radiators, the Tangerine Tasers, the Mellow Yellow Reflectors, the Greenhouse Gassers, the Blue Sky Diffusers, and the Ultraviolet Zappers.

4.  We then had the "NAME THAT GAS" Team Competition and Dr H added comments about each of the gases via slides for each gas.  (see the posted presentation for details).

5.  For our "Sustainability Segment" we watched the next segment of the PBS NOVA show:  Saved by the Sun .
