In class today we did the following:
1. Dr. H gave a presentation on:

# 4 ENERGY & MATTER OVERVIEW - Part I [

- The first part of the presentation wrapped up the discussion of
TIME SERIES PLOTS and showed the answers to the handout
from Monday's class. She also showed an example of FLOOD
TIME SERIES and talked about how tropical storms can produce
floods in many different parts of the U.S.-- even Tucson, Arizona!
She ended this segment with a short explanation about how "natural
archives" (tree rings, ice cores, corals, etc.) can be used to extend
our understanding of global climate change way back in time (before
there were thermometers).
- We then fired up the CLICKERS!
to test them out with a couple of questions. Please remember to bring your clickers
to every class from now on.
