ANNOUNCEMENTS

IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY

Today in class we did the following:

• Dr. H gave a presentation on:
     1. Global Change:  The Science & the Issues (color pdf)   
  
  
• A tour of some of the tools in D2L was given -- there area 2 "practice" Self Tests and RQ's now available that you can try to out to learn how to take them.
  
  
• Dr H also demonstrated how to navigate inside the SGC E-Text (highlighting, attatching notes, etc,)

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

Dr. H encouraged students in the class to consider becoming a PRECEPTOR (see info in the presentation).
  Find out how to become a preceptor in GC 170A.

• Our class D2L site is now "live."   Check it out  -- especially the CHECKLIST TOOL.
  
  
• The  CLASS NOTES packet   is not ready yet but should be ready next week. Don't go looking for it in the bookstore until Dr. H announces it is available. An announcement  will be posted under "news" in D2L to alert you when it is available.
  
  
• Office hours held by Dr H and the GTA's will begin next week.  Times are posted on the class webpage under Teaching Team.
